| Description |
The role of the qualified Nurse will be to work alongside the Manager and in his/her absence to take charge of the home for a span of duty and to exercise a high quality of care to the residents and effective management of the staff.Co-operate with the Manager/Deputy Manager on all aspects of running the home.
In addition to the above the qualified Nurse will also be required to participate in the formulation of individual care plans, their operation and evaluation, other tasks include:
- To order and dispense prescribed medication to the resident in accordance with the Drug Administration Procedure.
- To liaise with doctors, social workers and other statutory agencies whenever necessary.
- To communicate effectively with relatives and other visitors to the home.
- To delegate duties and organise routine for care assistants / domestic staff.
- Keep all recording systems up to date as necessary i.e. residents' daily reports, diary, petty cash, residents' personal finances etc.
- To feed back to the Manager on all matters of concern and situations that need action.
- To report staff shortages to the Manager / Deputy Manager or Administrator.
- To be aware of the educational needs of care assistants in all aspects of care.
- Any other duties that may, from time to time, contribute towards the smooth and efficient running of the home. To be considered for this RGN position you should be a qualified Registered Nurse in addition to previous knowledge of working in a similar position with the elderly.
Nurses from all eu countries eg. poland,hungary, czech republic, romania, greece etc welcome as long as good english spoken and written.
